As a visual artist and writer, I find comfort in the imaginative world. It isn’t a calm place, or a place free of conflict, but a place full of chaos. A place full of chances and conceivability. I like to find order in that chaos. I like to find a knot of an idea and figure out how to unravel it and weave it into something purposeful. With both pragmatic and creative thinking, I construct my ideas and solutions to form a finished product.

These products may be written or illustrated, but often are a combination of both as with my children's books. However, I try to explore the visual and literary connection and communicate ideas and experiences in all my work. I utilize many mediums and combine traditional drawings, digital art, graphic design, prose, and poetry to see an idea from a new perspective. I create designs outside the lines. Whether it is plot or picture, text or texture, I enjoy this challenge and its varied outcomes.
